Pakuwon Launches Groundbreaking for Semarang Superblock

 

Semarang, 18 August 2025 – PT Pakuwon Jati, through its subsidiary PT Pakuwon Permai, held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the commencement of soil improvement works, including slope reinforcement with soldier pile installation for the Pakuwon Mall Semarang project. With this milestone, the first phase of Pakuwon Mall Semarang is expected to begin operations in 2029.

Pakuwon Mall Semarang is part of the Pakuwon Mall Superblock development, which will be built in two phases. Strategically located in the premium Gombel area, the project offers stunning views of Semarang city and serves as a connector between the city center and the southern region, with close access to business districts, educational institutions, and tourist destinations. The first phase of the development will cover 12.7 hectares, featuring a shopping mall with 134,000 sqm Net Leasable Area (NLA), a piazza with 5,000-person capacity, offering panoramic views of Semarang city and the nearby golf course also exhibition and convention Hall. For the customer’s convenience we will provide a spacious parking facility for 5,000 cars and 3,000 motorcycles. “This project will also features two hotels (4-star and 5-star) with a total of 538 rooms, complemented by a ballroom with up to 3,000-person capacity to accommodate large-scale events. Pakuwon Mall Semarang will not only deliver a new shopping and entertainment experience but also position Semarang as a major lifestyle and MICE destination.” said Ivy Wong, Business Development Director.

“This project marks a historic milestone for Pakuwon as our first superblock development in Semarang, with a total investment value of IDR 5.6 trillion.
